Graduate students in the Newhouse School have a strong support network. You’ll have program directors and faculty members advising you academically, Career Development Center staff guiding you through internships and your job search, and the Academic Advising Office making sure your degree requirements are covered.
Program directors serve as faculty advisers. These professors advise on course selections, variations from the published curriculum, career tracks and opportunities, and must sign and approve all related paperwork.
In addition, the Academic Advising Office at Newhouse serve as graduate academic advisers for on-campus students. The academic advisers track degree progress, facilitate paperwork processes and ultimately certify master’s degrees.
