Career Development Center Founded

The Newhouse Career Development Center (CDC) is a pioneer in the career services field, hiring a staff dedicated solely to helping students develop their professional skills. In addition, the CDC developed theĀ Newhouse Network, a one-of-a-kind database of alumni who have volunteered to be mentors.

The center was founded in 1991 under the leadership of then-Dean David Rubin. In 2007, supported by a gift from Rubin and his wife, it was renamed the Tina Press and David Rubin Career Development Center.
