Stephen Lundberg (he, him, his) joined the Newhouse School in fall 2025 as the first ever Eric Mower Endowed Professor of Persuasive Communications. Lundberg will teach a variety of courses mostly focusing on creative advertising.
As a copywriter and executive creative director for over 25 years, he is currently a freelance creative consultant while serving as Creative Lead at Manufactured.NYC, a brand innovation studio in Brooklyn. Lundberg has developed results-driven campaigns for both pre-launch startups and established giants like Nationwide Insurance, American Express, Denny’s, Unilever, Chobani and more. He is a veteran of ad agencies Lowe Lintas, Gotham and Ogilvy,
Lundberg is passionate about helping brands and junior creatives find their voice. Most notably he co-created the Nationwide “Jingle Sessions'' campaign featuring Brad Paisley and Peyton Manning. He also helped launch the Denny’s “Always Open” campaign which garnered a first ever Branded Content Lion at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity for the “Always Open with Dave” web video series. Over the course of his career, his work has been recognized by the One Show, Cannes Lions, D&AD, the Webbys, Communication Arts and the Addys.
Lundberg earned a master’s degree in advertising from the Virginia Commonwealth University’s Brandcenter in 1999 and a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the Newhouse School in 1997.
