Molly G. Rothschild joined the Newhouse faculty in fall 2024 as an adjunct professor. She teaches communications law.
Rothschild is an attorney at Frankfurt Kurnit Klein and Selz PC where she represents clients in publishing, entertainment, fashion, telecommunications and law. She has successfully defended clients against obscenity and false advertising claims and focuses her practice on First Amendment, defamation, trademark, right of publicity and general commercial and entertainment contract disputes. In September 2023, she was named a Rising Star in the New York Metro-area by Super Lawyers.
Prior to joining Frankfurt Kurnit, Rothschild was a litigation associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP and handled complex commercial litigation matters.
Before practicing law, Rothschild was an editor and writer for print and digital publications including InStyle, Elle Decor and Well & Good.
Rothschild is a graduate of the Newhouse School and served as editor in chief of Zipped Magazine. She earned her juris doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif.
