Na Bai (Claire Bai) (she/her/hers) joined the Newhouse School in January 2025 as a tenure-track assistant professor in the advertising department.
She will be teaching courses in advertising research and planning.
Prior to joining Syracuse University, Bai was a campaign manager at TikTok, where she led high-impact campaigns for TikTok Shop, achieving record-breaking results for local businesses and global brands. Before TikTok, she served as associate director of data and media science at Known, overseeing innovative marketing solutions and optimizing multimillion-dollar media spends. Earlier in her career, she held key roles at Initiative and ViacomCBS, driving consumer intelligence and digital marketing strategies.
Bai’s work has been recognized with awards for her innovative contributions to advertising and marketing science. She has also been invited to speak at institutions like New York University and global events such as the APEC Women Connect competition. Additionally, she founded Bonjour Girls, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering women and promoting professional development. She holds a Ph.D. in data science from Harrisburg University, where her research focused on the integration of AI into business marketing. She also earned a master’s degree in integrated marketing from New York University.
