Hi! I’m Jenna McArdle, a senior television, radio and film major living in Los Angeles this fall for Newhouse LA. I’m originally from Vermont, but I took a leave of absence from school last semester and was living in Salt Lake City, Utah. Now that I’m in Los Angeles, I definitely have been appreciating its proximity to the ocean, as well as its endless options for takeout. This semester I’m interning at Mandalay Sports Media as a development intern. Most of my days consist of transcribing video interviews, going on office runs, reading scripts, writing coverage and collecting photos and footage from the internet for various projects. At my office there’s also the job of corralling the wild chocolate lab, Ollie, and keeping him entertained throughout the day. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to come here and give Los Angeles a trial run in this structured format before deciding if I want to move here to pursue a career.
