Newhouse Students Honored in 2023 BEA On-Location Creative Competition

Newhouse School students picked up seven honors in this year’s Broadcast Education Association (BEA) On-Location Creative Competition.

The awards announced Thursday included a pair of Best of Show honors for Newhouse Sports Media Center students and the lone Interactive Multimedia award for The NewsHouse’s “Infodemic,” a reporting project that included more than 30 stories packaged with photos, videos, illustrations, audio, data visualizations and other interactive media.

This competition, in conjunction with the BEA On-Location conference in October, serves as a precursor for the annual BEA Festival of the Media Arts contest later this year.
