Newhouse students, faculty win at Broadcast Educators Association Festival of Media Arts

Newhouse School students from almost every program were recognized at the 2021 Broadcast Education Association Festival of the Media Arts. Syracuse University was tied for 4th place overall at the festival, and had the highest percentage of top honors, with six of 13 total awards being either 1st place or Best In Competition awards.

Newhouse Sports Media Center director Olivia Stomski won the Best of Competition faculty award for long form sports video for leading the student production teams on SU pregame shows.

The six top finishers will go on to compete for the Best of Festival Awards, which will be announced live online on Monday, March 29.

Congratulations to everyone on such a great achievement!
