Newhouse School faculty and alumni produce, direct and play key roles in a documentary debuting Thursday on the ACC Network that takes a behind-the-scenes look at Syracuse spring football.
“Authentic ACC: Syracuse Spring Football” features interviews with head coach Fran Brown, assistant coaches and star players as the Orange prepare for the 2025 campaign. Produced and directed by Jordan Kligerman, an assistant professor of television, radio and film, the program provides behind-the-scenes access to spring practices and storylines behind key new and returning players.
Kligerman teaches courses in sports documentary and sports social content while leading the award-winning student production group, 44 Films. Richie Wiesmann ’25, who just graduated with a bachelor’s in television, radio and film, serves as associate producer.
Also integral to the project are Syracuse athletic director John Wildhack ’80, executive producer, and assistant athletic director Michael Lang G’16, editor and cinematographer. Austin Beehner, director of creative media and content strategy for Syracuse football, is the co-producer for the film.
Syracuse opens the 2025 football season Aug. 30 against Tennessee.
