Moonfall Advanced Screening

One of the coolest experiences I’ve had so far at Newhouse LA was attending the advanced screening for Moonfall, which was hosted at the AMC theater in The Grove. Upon arrival, our names were checked in on a list that was being run by a fellow Newhouse LA alum, and we were given a free poster. Lionsgate rented the largest auditorium within the theater and I was blown away by the sheer immensity upon entering the room. Each attendee was given blue rock candy and they had a DJ at the front playing music and asking science-based trivia questions. The room’s atmosphere felt more like a fun club than any theater I’ve ever been to! One of my fellow Newhouse LA classmates won a round and received a free swag bag which included a cool Moonfall hat and astronaut ice cream. As an SU student who chose the University partly due to its Los Angeles program, I’ve been nothing but impressed by the free weekly advanced screenings and other events that they’re inviting us to.
