The center, located in the Dupont Circle area of Washington, will serve students, faculty, staff and alumni and help facilitate new or expanded offerings in the Newhouse DC program. It will also serve as the home of the University’s Institute for Democracy, Journalism and Citizenship.

The new online program expands Newhouse offerings to students seeking flexibility with their schedule but the renowned academic rigor that comes with a Newhouse undergraduate education.
Independent photographer Md. Zobayer Hossain Joati was named the inaugural Alexia Scholar initiative recipient.
“A Tale of Two Cities: Reclaiming Niagara Falls and Salinas,” made by students at Newhouse and the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico, debuted in September at the Newhouse School.
The fellowship program is an extension of the school’s longstanding commitment to develop student excellence and advance faculty expertise in technology-driven communications tools and practices. Similarly, a key pillar of the Newhouse academic strategic plan involves expanding proficiency in advanced and emerging media.
A celebratory toast and ceremonial cutting of a ribbon marked the formal opening of the new home of the Newhouse School’s program in the entertainment capital of the world.
