The Bandier master’s program, which launches in fall 2025, is built by the same world-class Newhouse faculty who lead the prestigious Bandier undergraduate program. The bachelor’s program is regularly recognized by Billboard as one of the top music business schools in the country.

The music business has enjoyed a decade of rapid revenue growth, driven by new streaming subscribers and record numbers of concert goers. The music business represents an opportunity for you to have the career of your dreams, working to support music you love.

What Will I Learn in the Bandier Music Business and Entertainment Industry Programs?

The Bandier music business graduate program, and recording and entertainment industries undergraduate program, combine the study of the business of music, media, marketing, and entrepreneurship with hands-on experiences to prepare you for a successful career in the music industry.

The Bandier program delivers hands-on, industry-facing experiences in all sectors of the modern music industry, including record labels and music publishers; live music and brand activations; law and policy; emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence; social media; data analytics; and more. The program also focuses on building tactical skills including marketing, short form visual storytelling, and basic studio production. 

Many Bandier students also create their own businesses while studying at Newhouse. They take the foundational skills that they’ve learned in the classroom into the lab of the real world by marketing and managing artists, producing shows, and more.
