Zach Langmead

Zach Langmead brings more than a decade of local broadcast news experience to the classrooms at the Newhouse School. Having lived in Western and Central New York for his entire life, Zach is well connected into the communities that make up the region. Working up through the producer ranks while at Spectrum News - Rochester, Zach has worked every shift and has experienced the highs and lows time and time again of working in the journalism industry. 

Zach also worked as the internship coordinator while at Spectrum News. He has seen dozens of his former interns go on to great success in the journalism industry. When looking back at his career in local news, Zach would say this was his greatest accomplishment. Preparing young journalists for their careers in our challenging industry is what brought Zach to seek out a teaching role at the Newhouse School. 

Zach earned a bachelor's degree from Plattsburgh State University ('10) and master's degree from Northeastern University ('17). He lives in the Finger Lakes region with his wife, two young sons and two dogs.
