Wesley Whiteside

Wes Whiteside is the face of the Newhouse Visitors Center. He works with prospective students and their families and coordinates several of the Newhouse School’s diversity initiatives. He conducts information sessions and tours, and oversees the school’s participation in all of the undergraduate admissions events. He also trains and supervises the Newhouse Ambassadors, a group of students who assist with undergraduate recruitment.

Wes has been with Syracuse University since 2009, holding positions as an admissions counselor in the Undergraduate Admissions Office, academic adviser in the Undergraduate Advising and Records office at the Newhouse School and as a career exploration specialist in the Office of Career Services.

He earned a B.A. in communications from Gannon University. An avid sports fan, Wes played football at Gannon University and is a fan of SU sports. He also enjoys traveling and food.
