Sholnn Freeman

Dr. Sholnn Freeman is a senior communications specialist at Howard University. He is originally from Austin, Texas. Freeman is a former business reporter for The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. He was a Scotty Reston Fellow at The New York Times in 1999 and interned at Bloomberg News. In 2008, Freeman traveled to Baghdad for an eight-week assignment as an Iraq correspondent for The Washington Post. Freeman graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in public affairs journalism in 1999. He holds a doctorate in communications from Howard University.
