Joseph Sgambati

Joseph Sgambati

With professional degrees in architecture and journalism, Joseph Sgambati has spent over a decade exploring the intersection of fashion, design and politics at a variety of studios in Manhattan. His work in architecture, interiors and data visualization has sought to enrich the lives of others with visual communication and storytelling through design.

Sgambati engages in dialogue with other artisans, makers, and thinkers through his writing in magazines including Metropolis and Luxe Interiors + Design. He also sits on the editorial board for the recently launched literary publication Proseterity. When not practicing, he teaches visual communication, theory, and design—with an emphasis on fashion media—in a few college programs from Syracuse to New York. It is his core belief that individuals are responsible for continued learning to become informed global citizens.
