Jim Nguyen

Jim Nguyen is currently the assistant director of IT Services at the Newhouse School where he helps shape strategies that ensure alignment with the school’s overall technological objectives.  Prior to joining the Newhouse Information and Computing Services (NICS) department in 2013, Jim has cultivated a wide professional IT experience from his previous stints in the healthcare field, K-12 education, market research and in the broadcast news realm. Starting his career at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City as a systems engineer, Jim then moved on to work for Nielsen Media Research, managing their Upstate New York regional DMA (Designated Market Area) for which local television viewing is measured. Jim has since also worked for the Syracuse City School District supporting some 30+ schools and nearly 20,000 students as well as with Syracuse Behavioral Healthcare (now known as Helio Health) as their director of IT.
