Jeff Passetti is a designer, developer, and educator whose work bridges visual design and front-end development. At the Newhouse School, he helps shape the school’s digital presence through web design, user experience, and interactive storytelling, translating ideas into systems that are both visually strong and technically sound.

His expertise spans design systems, prototyping, and front-end development, with experience in tools and technologies including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress, React, and Next.js. In addition to his full-time role at Newhouse, Jeff has taught web design and development at Syracuse University for more than a decade, mentoring students as they build ambitious digital projects.

Jeff has also collaborated with industry partners on UI/UX and emerging technology initiatives, and previously served as an instructor for Careers in Code, a Syracuse-based coding bootcamp focused on expanding access to technology education in Central New York.

His work has contributed to award-winning student and editorial projects recognized by organizations including the Society of Professional Journalists, the Online News Association, and the Society for News Design. He has also contributed to a range of special digital projects and websites spanning journalism, storytelling, and public-facing communications.
