Bio:

Janaki works at the Extended Reality Lab in the Newhouse School researching VR effects and Human-AI interaction from a media psychology perspective. She is interested in studying the implications of interactive and immersive technologies for education and interpersonal communication. Prior to joining SU, Janaki worked in the roles of teaching assistant, research assistant, writing fellow and discussion facilitator at Boston University where she was a recipient of the Emerging Leaders Scholarship, Spirit Award and Prize for Academic and Professional Achievement. She has presented her research at conferences including International Conference on Meaningful Play and Screentime.
