Gillian Budman Kanter earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology in Syracuse University's College of Arts and Sciences and then received her master’s degree in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. Gill then worked as the coordinator for residence life operations at Syracuse University and in 2003 joined the Office of Housing, Meal Plan and ID Card Services where she primarily worked on new student housing assignments, facility upgrades and collaborated with various offices on campus to support the on-campus student experience including the Office of Student Living, The Center for Disability Resources and The Office of Learning Communities.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, shopping locally, summers on the lake in Cazenovia and exploring small towns in upstate NY.
