Emma Hudson

Emma Carroll Hudson is the communications specialist for Syracuse University’s Institute for Democracy, Journalism & Citizenship (IDJC) in Washington, D.C. She handles all IDJC social media accounts, marketing needs and website updates with the latest news and projects. She also sends out "The Squeeze" newsletter on a weekly basis. 

Emma graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a master’s degree in public relations in 2023. In 2021, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor degree in retail consumer science.
