Cristina (DiMarco) Hatem ’92 has decades of experience as a public relations and strategic marketing communications professional.

Hatem began her career at full-service communications agencies, where she worked on both business-to-business and consumer accounts. While at the Mower Agency, she was account supervisor for a large public utility, where she managed crisis communications during natural disasters and deregulation of the industry. Hatem acted as marketing communications director at a professional services firm, responsible for all internal and external communications, including during the organization’s merger with a national firm. She also managed rebranding, website design, and the customer experience for a regional insurance company.

Currently, Hatem is director of strategic marketing and communications for Syracuse University Libraries. A graduate of the Newhouse School with a bachelor's in public relations, she holds a masters in teaching from LeMoyne College and is working toward a second master’s in public administration from the Maxwell School.
