New media management graduate student Kellan Godfrey has received $750 in funding for his newsletter, Remote Start. The newsletter, which is still in the planning stages, would include articles and curated content of interest to remote workers.

“Kellan’s idea is timely,” says new media management director Adam Peruta. “The pandemic has forever changed the way we work. Those who are entering the workforce for the first time are struggling with new kinds of workplace issues. Many recent alumni have never met their boss or colleagues in person. Kellan worked remotely prior to joining us at Newhouse so he has first-hand experience and really understands who the audience is for his media company.”

The Raymond vonDran iPrize competition is named for the former iSchool dean who was a staunch supporter of student innovation.

Congratulations, Kellan!
