Madison Neuner

Madison Neuner is a master’s student in the Newhouse School’s magazine, news and digital journalism program. They grew up in Liverpool, New York, and earned a B.A. in journalism and communication studies at Northeastern University. They were the editor-in-chief of the Red & Black sports magazine and a Division I runner at Northeastern. Madison gained an interest in First Amendment law and freedom of the press in coursework at Northeastern and Syracuse.
Sydney Yorke

Sydney Yorke is pursuing an M.A. in public diplomacy and global communications at Syracuse University, after earning a B.A. in speech communication from North Carolina A&T State University. Her research interests focus on using public diplomacy to advocate for freedom of the press and free speech, as well as enhancing cross-cultural communication. Sydney is dedicated to promoting journalistic freedom, combating censorship and fostering open lines of communication to ensure that diverse voices contribute to a well-informed global community.
